Dr Ainhi Ha

Dr Ainhi Ha is a neurologist with extensive training and expertise in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, as well as in General Neurology. She aims to provide compassionate medical care to her patients.

Dr Ha has over fifteen years’ experience in general neurology and in movement disorders, including in the use of enteral levodopa/carbidopa gel infusions, apomorphine and deep brain stimulation. She is highly proficient in injection therapy, with clinics at Westmead Hospital, and is involved in the training of movement disorder fellows.

She completed her post-doctorate research degree at the University of Sydney, studying the molecular biology in Parkinson’s disease, and has over 25 publications, including several first-author publications in international journals, in addition to reviews, book chapters and local publications. She has also undertaken a clinical fellowship in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders in the United States. She is a clinical senior lecturer at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney.

Dr Ha is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, and Movement Disorder Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Dr Florence Chang

Dr Chang is an associate clinical professor of Neurology at University of Sydney, Neurology Staff Specialist at Department of Neurology at Westmead Hospital since 2010 . She has more than 10 years of experience in Parkinson disease therapies such as pump therapies, deep brain stimulation (Medtronic and Abbott only) since 2010.

She co-authored over 50 scientific papers in the natural history of dystonia, Huntington disease and the quality of life of Parkinson disease patients on pump therapy and improvement in freezing of gait and dyskinesia of patients on 24-hour pump therapy.

She completed a postdoctorate research degree at University of Sydney on the pathophysiology of dystonia in 2020 and is a subinvestigator in international observational study in dystonia. She sees Huntington disease at Westmead Public Hospital and general neurology and movement disorder patients in private rooms at Westmead. She has over 10 years of experience with injection therapy for tremor, dystonia, hemifacial spasms and spasticity. Dr Chang can admit patients in Westmead public and Westmead private hospitals.

She can speak fluent Mandarin and understand Hokkien (but does not speak Cantonese).

Dr Samuel Kim

Dr Samuel Kim

Consultant Neurologist and Neurophysiologist

Dr Kim is a highly experienced consultant neurologist with over 15 years of clinical expertise in movement disorders and general neurology. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.

Dr Kim graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2000 and completed his specialist neurology training at Liverpool and St Vincent’s Hospitals in Sydney. He pursued further subspecialty training in movement disorders through a clinical fellowship at Westmead Hospital.

In 2014, he was awarded a PhD by the University of Sydney for his research on clinical and neurophysiological correlates of cortical hyperexcitability in movement disorders, contributing to the growing understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms underlying conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and Stiff-man syndrome.

Dr Kim is currently on staff at Westmead Hospital, where he is actively involved in both clinical care and research. He has co-authored scientific publications and reviews on topics including Parkinson’s disease, Stiff-man syndrome, and Huntington disease. He plays an integral role in the Huntington Disease Clinic at Westmead Hospital and consults in general neurology with a focus on movement disorders at Specialist Neurology Services.

Dr Kim is fluent in Korean, allowing him to communicate directly with Korean-speaking patients and provide care without the need for an interpreter.

김 박사는 15년 이상의 임상 경험을 가진 신경과 전문의로, 운동 장애와 일반 신경 질환을 전문으로 진료합니다. 따뜻하고 근거 중심의 진료를 통해 환자 개개인에 맞춘 치료를 제공합니다.

2000년 뉴사우스웨일스 대학교(UNSW)를 졸업한 후, 시드니의 리버풀 병원과 세인트 빈센트 병원에서 신경과 전문의 수련을 마쳤으며, 웨스트미드 병원에서 운동 장애 분야의 임상 펠로우십을 수행했습니다.

2014년에는 시드니 대학교에서 의학 박사 학위를 받았으며, 파킨슨병과 경직인 증후군 등과 관련된 뇌의 과흥분성에 대한 연구를 통해 신경 질환의 기전 이해에 기여했습니다.

Dr Sangamithra Babu

Dr Sangamithra Babu

Dr Sangamithra Babu is an experienced neurologist, specialising in all aspects of neurology with a particular focus on movement disorders and neuro-ophthalmology. She provides expert care to patients with Parkinson’s disease and related disorders, migraines, multiple sclerosis, Cognitive disorders, epilepsy, and stroke.

Dr Babu is proficient in administering approved injectable therapies for the management of movement disorders, migraines, and hyperhidrosis. Committed to continuous professional development, she stays at the forefront of advancements in neurology by regularly attending national and international conferences. She is an active member of professional organizations, including the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Australian and New Zealand Headache Society.

Her ability to empathize with patients and her dedication to achieving the best clinical outcomes are among her greatest strengths. Fluent in Tamil, Dr Babu also understands other Indian languages, allowing her to connect effectively with a diverse patient population.

Dr Victor Fung

Dr Victor Fung is Professor of Neurology and Motor Control, Sydney Medical School, The University of Sydney, and Director of the Movement Disorders Unit, Department of Neurology, Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He is President of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) (2023-2025), Chair of the Asia Pacific Affairs Committee of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, and a Past-President of the Movement Disorder Society of Australia and New Zealand (2010-2013). He is or has been a member of the Parkinson's Australia, Parkinson's NSW and Dystonia Network Australia Scientific Advisory Boards. He has a clinical and research interest in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders with over 250 research publications in scientific journals.

He has over 25 years of experience in clinical neurology and neurophysiology practice with a particular focus on Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, including botulinum toxin injection therapy. He is Australian-born and speaks some limited Cantonese (but not Mandarin).
